Ricardo and WPD have selected Somerset West and Taunton Local Authority to host a trial site for the DC rapid charging hubs. The development of rapid charging hubs will create a “petrol station” like infrastructure and have a positive impact on decarbonising transportation and hence assist in the transition to greener transport.
The components for the trial will be developed throughout 2020/2021, installed in Spring 2022, with the twelve month user trial taking place therafter.
The trial is currently being designed and procurement is underway, this page will be updated once more information regarding the trial is ready!
